Mechanism Of Action Of Vildagliptin / Metformin

• Vildagliptin inhibits DPP-4 enzyme, increasing incretin levels, which stimulate insulin release and decrease glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner.
• Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity.

Therapeutic Indications Of Sensityn

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.
• Indicated when monotherapy with metformin or vildagliptin alone does not provide adequate glycemic control.

Method Of Administration Of Sensityn

• Take one tablet orally twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing.
• Dosage should be adjusted based on blood glucose monitoring and patient response.
