Mechanism Of Action Of Dabigatran Etexilate

• Dabigatran etexilate is an oral prodrug of dabigatran. It is rapidly converted to dabigatran in the body and exhibits the same mechanism of action as dabigatran.

Therapeutic Indications Of  Pradaxa Dabigatran Etexilate 75 Mg Capsules

• Used in cases of:

1. Reduction of the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation
2. Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
3. Recurrent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

Method Of Administration Of Pradaxa Dabigatran Etexilate 75 Mg Capsules

• For patients with CrCl >30 mL/min: 150 mg orally, twice daily.
• For patients with CrCl 15 to 30 mL/min: 75 mg orally, twice daily
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

• Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them, but you may suffer from:
