Mechanism Of Action Of Acyclovir
- Inhibits viral DNA polymerase and replication by being incorporated into the viral DNA chain, leading to termination of DNA synthesis in herpes viruses.
Therapeutic Indications Of Lovrak
- Treatment of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections: cold sores, genital herpes.
- Treatment and suppression of recurrent HSV infections.
- Treatment of varicella (chickenpox) and herpes zoster (shingles).
- Treatment of severe initial or recurrent genital herpes in immunocompromised patients.
Method Of Administration Of Lovrak
- Take orally using a measuring spoon or cup provided with the medication.
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Can be taken with or without food.
- Dose and frequency depend on age, condition treated, and medical advice.
