Mechanism Of Action Of Acyclovir

• Inhibits viral DNA polymerase and replication by being incorporated into the viral DNA chain, leading to termination of DNA synthesis in herpes viruses.

• Treatment of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections: cold sores, genital herpes.
• Treatment and suppression of recurrent HSV infections.
• Treatment of varicella (chickenpox) and herpes zoster (shingles).
• Treatment of severe initial or recurrent genital herpes in immunocompromised patients.

Method Of Administration Of Lovrak

• Take orally using a measuring spoon or cup provided with the medication.
