• Apixaban is an anticoagulant that inhibits the clotting factor Xa, preventing the formation of blood clots.

• Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation
• Treatment and prevention of DVT and PE

Method Of Administration Of Apixaban 5 Mg Tablets

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The tablet should be taken orally twice a day, with or without food
• The recommended dose for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation is 5 mg twice daily.
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
