• Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic used to reduce or prevent hemorrhagic episodes, especially in the context of hyperfibrinolytic disorders.

• Used for the treatment of cyclic heavy menstrual bleeding (period) when it can affect your quality of life by getting in the way of leisure, social, and physical activities.
• This medicine has shown its ability to decrease the amount of blood lost during your monthly period by around one-third, but it does not completely stop your period.

Method Of Administration Of Lysteda 650 Mg Tablets

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The usual recommended dose is 2 tablets orally 3 times daily
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

• Make sure that you tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you currently have or have previously had a blood clot or been told that you are at risk of developing a blood clot.

• The risk of developing blood clots may be higher when this medicine is taken with some other medicines like hormonal contraceptives (birth control), medicines that increase blood clotting, and some medicines used for the treatment of leukemia.
