Mechanism of action of Budesonide

• Budesonide is a potent topical anti-inflammatory agent.

• It binds and activates glucocorticoid receptors (GR) in the effector cell (e.g., bronchial) cytoplasm that allows the translocation of this budesonide-GR complex in the bronchi nucleus, which binds to both HDCA2 and CBP (HAT).

Therapeutic Indications of Avalon, Cortrief

• indicated for the treatment and maintenance of mild to moderate Crohn's disease.

• Various inhaled budesonide products are indicated for prophylactic therapy in asthma

Method of Administration of Avalon, Cortrief

• Budesonide powder for oral inhalation is usually inhaled twice a day.

• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.

• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

  weakness, tiredness, or a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
  nausea, vomiting, rectal bleeding;
  pain or burning when you urinate
