- Desmopressin, a synthetic analog of vasopressin, which regulates water balance and urine production in the body.
Therapeutic Indications Of Minirin Nasal Spray
- Diabetes Insipidus: a rare disorder that causes excessive thirst and urination due to a deficiency of antidiuretic hormone (ADH).
- Nocturnal Enuresis
- Polyuria
- Nocturia
- Primary Nocturnal Enuresis
- Central Diabetes Insipidus
Method Of Administration Of Minirin Nasal Spray
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Your doctor will tell you how to use this medicine. This will depend on your condition and how old you are.
- 1 spray in each nostril once daily before bedtime, increase to 2 sprays if needed
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

- Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them but you may suffer from:

- Use with caution in patients with hyponatremia
