Mechanism Of Action Of Ranibizumab
- Binds to and inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a protein that promotes the growth of new blood vessels in the retina. This helps to slow or stop the progression of wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular edema, and choroidal neovascularization (CNV).
Therapeutic Indications Of Lucentis 10 Mg/Ml Vial
- Patients with Neovascular (Wet) Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
- Patients with Macular Edema Following Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO).
- Patients with Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), Diabetic Retinopathy (DR).
- Patients with Myopic Choroidal Neovascularization (mCNV).
Method Of Administration Of Lucentis 10 Mg
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Your doctor will tell you how to use this medicine. This will depend on your condition and how old you are.
- The recommended dose is 0.5 mg injected into the eye once a month.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
