Mechanism of action of Minocycline

• Minocycline, a wide-spectrum antimicrobial agent, has been effective against MDR Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections.

• As with other tetracyclines, the mechanism of action of minocycline involves attaching to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and preventing protein synthesis.

• Treatment of acne.

Method of Administration of Vulga

• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Undesirable Side Effects of Vulga

• Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:

• Dryness, Scaling, Mild burning/stinging, Skin redness and discomfort.

• Itching.

• Peeling.

• Sunburn.

• Shower after strenuous activities.

• Do not use this medicine on areas where you haνe cuts or scrapes or on sunburnt skin or if you haνe a skin condition called eczema.

• Ανοίd contact with the eyes, mouth or angles of the nose, and aνoid other νery sensitiνe areas of your body.

• Ανοίd exposure to strong sunlight and artificial UV light.

• lf you experience sensitiνity or irritation when applying this medicine, stop using it and tel1 your doctor.

• Store below 25.
• Don’t freeze.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. 
• The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
