Mechanism Of Action Of Sunitinib 50 Mg Capsules

  • Sunitinib amends the activity of various enzymes involved in tumor growth, pathologic angiogenesis, and metastatic progression of cancer.

 

Therapeutic Indications Of Sutent Capsules

  • Sunitinib is indicated in adult patients for the treatment of the following conditions:
  1. the treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after disease progression on or intolerance to imatinib mesylate.
  2. the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
  3. the adjuvant treatment of adult patients at high risk of recurrent RCC following nephrectomy.
  4. the treatment of progressive, well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNET) in patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic disease.

 

Method Of Administration Of Sutent Capsules

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
  • Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

 

Undesirable Side Effects Of Sutent Capsules

  • Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: 
  1. Fatigue
  2. Diarrhea
  3. Nausea
  4. Decreased appetite
