Mechanism Of Action Of Azathioprine

  • Azathioprine is an immunosuppressant drug that is converted into an active form called 6-mercaptopurine. It inhibits the proliferation of immune cells, particularly T cells and B cells.

  • Prevention of rejection in kidney transplantation

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
