Mechanism Of Action Of Cetirizine

• H1 histamine receptor antagonist; competes for H1-receptor sites in target cells in the respiratory tract, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract.
• Non-sedative second generation

Therapeutic Indications Of Zertazine Syrup

• used for the relief of allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery, red eyes, and itchy nose and throat. It is also being used to treat hives.

Method Of Administration Of Zertazine Syrup

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Shake well before uses
• The average doses:

1. Adults or children 12 years of age or older: 10 mg (10 ml) once daily.
2. Children 6 to 12 years old: 10 mg (10 ml) daily, either as a single dose or as divided doses of 5 ml in the morning and 5 ml in the evening.
3. Children 2 to 6 years old: 5 mg (5 ml) daily, either as a single dose or as divided doses of 2,5 ml in the morning and 2,5 ml in the evening.

• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

• Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:

• Avoid inhaled irritants such as dust, perfumes, or pollutants. Wear face mask to reduce the exposure to the allergen
