Mechanism Of Action Of Piribedil 50 Mg Tablets
- Piribedil is a dopamine agonist used with or without levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Therapeutic Indications Of Trivastal Retard 50 Mg Tablets
- It is indicated in the treatment of Parkinson's disease alone or in combination with levodopa.
Method Of Administration Of Trivastal Retard 50 Mg Tablets
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
Undesirable Side Effects Of Trivastal Retard 50 Mg Tablets
- Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
- Minor digestive disturbances (nausea, vomiting, flatulence), which may disappear
- particularly by adjusting the individual dosage.
- Somnolence has been reported with Piribedil treatment. In very rare cases, excessive diurnal somnolence and the sudden appearance of sleeping fits have been reported.
- More rarely, psychological disturbances such as confusion or agitation have been observed, which disappear when treatment is discontinued.
- Disturbances in blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension), or blood pressure instability.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Precautions While Taking Trivastal Retard 50 Mg Tablets
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
- Your doctor will discuss the possible risks and benefits of using this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Trivastal Retard 50 Mg Tablets
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Piribedil if you:
- if you have (ever had) or are developing any medical condition or symptoms, especially kidney disease, liver disease, swelling of the legs, feet, or fingers.
- if you become confused/disoriented, agitated, aggressive, or develop mental problems such as delusions, illusions, or hallucinations.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:
- Antipsychotic neuroleptics (excluding clozapine): reciprocal antagonism between dopaminergic agonist and neuroleptics
- Antiemetic neuroleptics: reciprocal antagonism between dopaminergic agonist and neuroleptics.

- Store below 25°c

- Keep this product out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
- Do not use this product after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label.
- The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
