Mechanism Of Action Of Paracetamol
- Acts on the hypothalamus to produce an antipyretic effect, as fever develops when the hypothalamus is set to a higher-than-normal temperature.
- May work peripherally to block pain impulse generation; may also inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in CNS.

- Panadol Actifast is an analgesic and antipyretic.
- Effective for the treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, migraine, musculoskeletal pain, and muscle pain.
- Relieves period pain, osteoarthritis pain, toothache, pain following dental procedures/tooth extraction.
- Provides relief from pain and fever after vaccination and sore throat.
- Effective for reducing fever.

Instructions For Use
- For oral administration only.
- Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over,Take 2 tablets up to four times daily.
- Do not take more than 8 tablets (4000 mg) in 24 hours.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
Method Of Administration Of Panadol Actifast Tablets
- Take a tablet with or without food.
- Take a tablet with a full glass of water.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose or take it more frequently than every 4 hours.
- If you take more than you should, seek medical attention immediately.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose.
Undesirable Side Effects Of Panadol Actifast Tablets
- Allergic reactions such as rash, hives, itching, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
- Difficulty breathing, especially if previously experienced with aspirin or ibuprofen.
- Sudden weight loss, nausea, yellowing of the skin and eyes, loss of appetite.
- Unexplained bleeding or bruising.

- Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
- This medication is safe to take during breastfeeding.

- Rectal temperature is 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) higher than oral temperature.
- Ear (tympanic) temperature is 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) higher than oral temperature.
