Mechanism Of Action Of Clotrimazole
- Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.
Therapeutic Indications Of Otozol 1% Ear Drops
- Used to treat fungal infections in the ear in otitis externa
Method Of Administration Of Otozol 1% Ear Drops
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Fill the dropper from the bottle.
- Tilt your head to one side.
- Gently drip the drops into your blocked ear until it is full.
- Place a cotton wool plug in the ear.
- The best time to do this is before you go to bed.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

- Before you use this medicine talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- If you have a perforated eardrum (a hole in your eardrum)
- If your ear is sore or inflamed
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications including over-the-counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.
Storage Conditions Of Otozol 1% Ear Drops
- Store below 25°c
- Don’t refrigerate the unopened container
- Not to be used for more than 28 days after opening the container, unless otherwise advised by your pharmacist.
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
