Mechanism Of Action Of Levofloxacin

  • Levofloxacin is a bactericidal antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class.
  • It inhibits DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and DNA-gyrase which are necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division.

  • It is indicated in the treatment of adult patients with bacterial infections in the following body parts:

Method Of Administration Of Levox 500 Mg Tablets

  • Take a tablet with or without food.
  • Take a tablet with a full glass of water.
  • Take at the same time every day.
  • Do not take more or less than prescribed by your doctor.
  • Do not stop taking your medication prior to the end of prescribed duration even if you start feeling better.
  • Drink a lot of fluids while taking this medication.
  • Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. The dose will depend on the severity and type of infection
