Mechanism Of Action Of Digoxin 0.25 Mg Tablets
- Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside used in the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure and for ventricular response rate control in chronic atrial fibrillation.
Therapeutic Indications Of Lanoxin 0.25 Mg Tablets
- For the treatment of mild to moderate heart failure in adult patients.
- To increase myocardial contraction in children diagnosed with heart failure.
- To maintain control ventricular rate in adult patients diagnosed with chronic atrial fibrillation.
- To treat arrhythmias
Method Of Administration Of Lanoxin 0.25 Mg Tablets
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The usual recommended dose is:
- First you are given a loading dose to get your Digoxin levels up to the correct level quickly.
- It is usually between 0.75-1 mg.
- Then you will be taking a maintenance dose daily.
- It is usually between 0.125-0.25 mg daily.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
Undesirable Side Effects Of Lanoxin 0.25 Mg Tablets
- Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, but you should:
- Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

- If you have other heart problems.
