Mechanism Of Action Of Diphenhydramine

• Diphenhydramine predominantly works via the antagonism of H1 (Histamine 1) receptors
• Such H1 receptors are located on respiratory smooth muscles, vascular endothelial cells, the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), cardiac tissue, immune cells, the uterus, and the central nervous system (CNS) neurons

• This medicine is used to relief cough and congestion during cold or allergies.

Method Of Administration Of Amydramine Il Syrup

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Shake well before uses
• The average doses:

1. Children: From 6- 12 Year: Take one spoonful 5 ml 4 times daily.
2. Adults and children aged 12 years: Take two 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day.

• Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
• If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
