Mechanism Of Action Of Diethylamine Salicylate 1 % Cream
- is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which decreases inflammation and relief the pain.
Therapeutic Indications Of Algesal Baume Cream
- Can be used to treat:
- Back pain.
- Sprains, strains, sport injuries, dislocations and fractures.
- Mild pain.
- Inflammation of the bones and joints such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout and ankylosing spondylitis.
Method Of Administration Of Algesal Baume Cream
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Apply to affected area
- Usually 3 times daily.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

- Serious side effects are not expected with this medication.
- Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
- Skin irritation/redness may occur at the application site. If this effect lasts or gets worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Algesal Baume Cream
- Talk to your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse or are not improving.
- This medication is designed for external topical use only
- Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck.
- Do not apply this gel on opened skin areas as eczema (atopic dermatitis) or ulcers (sores),
- or skin areas that have been exposed to irradiation to prevent burning sensation from happening.

- Store below 25°c
- Don’t refrigerate
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
