Moxifloxacin is a bactericidal antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class.
Moxifloxacin inhibits DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and DNA-gyrase which are necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division.

It is used to treat certain superficial infections of the eye caused by bacteria.

Eye preparation is usually sterile, so ensure that the container is not damaged before use and also replace the cap after taking your dose.

With the other hand, hold the eye drop bottle upside down near your eye. Try not to touch your eye as you do this.
Apply enough pressure to release one drop into your eye.

If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Not to be used for more than 28 days after opening the container, unless otherwise advised by your pharmacist.
