The meningococcal group B vaccine contains a recombinant (genetically engineered) meningococcal group B surface protein that has been adsorbed to an aluminum salt. It stimulates the production of antibodies that protect against meningococcal group B bacteria.

The recommended dose is 0.5 mL injected into the muscle of the thigh or upper arm.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next
